Mr K Kumar
MS(Orth), MCh(Orth), FRCS, FRCS(Tr&Orth)
Mr Kumar is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Shoulder and Elbow surgery.
He graduated from University of Delhi, and after completing his Orthopaedic Training in New Delhi, moved to the UK.
Mr Kumar then successfully completed his Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Aberdeen, and was awarded his CCT in 2006.
Subsequently, he did Fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the Reading Shoulder Unit and Wrightington Hospital, which are internationally recognised centres of Excellence for Upper Limb surgery.
He has been working as a Consultant in Abeerdeen since 2007, and specialises in Upper Limb surgery especially Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow.
Mr Kumar undertakes all types of arthroscopic (Keyhole) surgery, and joint replacements of shoulder and elbow.

Publications and Teaching
Mr Kumar has a number of research publications in peer reviewed journals, and has presented papers at various national and international conferences
He teaches and trains on a number of courses both nationally and internationally.
Affiliations
Mr Kumar is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Elbow and Shoulder society. He is on Advisory Board of the International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (www.isksaa.com).
He is also a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee for Trauma and Orthopaedics, and is an examiner for the Intercollegiate Examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
